MyEYES was founded by the collaboration of a patient, a leading glaucoma specialist and an ophthalmic technician. After personally experiencing the impact that using a tonometry device can provide, Paul, our cofounder, decided to take action to help other people learn how to improve the treatment of their glaucoma based on a fundamental fact: intraocular eye pressure (IOP) can fluctuate over 24 hours – sometimes even to high and dangerous levels – and a single eye pressure check every several months at one point during the day is usually NOT sufficient.

Our mission is to make it easier to get a home tonometry device into hands of the people who need it. In this way, IOP measurement data collected over the span of a week or two at several time points during the day and or night can help to direct an individual patients’ doctors to provide the ideal treatment for that patient’s tailored need. The result: the most effective way to proactively slow the damaging and blinding progression of this horrible disease.
