Patient Engagement Specialist

MyEyes is seeking a part-time Patient Engagement Specialist to compassionately guide patients through rental and purchase options for remote eye care products, focusing on empathy, education, and personalized support rather than high-pressure sales.

About this Position

Weโ€™re seeking a Patient Engagement Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients exploring our rental and purchase options. This role involves guiding patients through the purchasing process, itโ€™s rooted in empathy, education, and trustโ€”not high-pressure sales tactics.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with patients via phone, email, and online platforms to guide them through the rental and purchasing process
  • Build rapport with patients by listening with empathy, understanding their unique needs, and providing personalized support
  • Clearly explain product benefits, usage, and payment options in a compassionate and respectful manner
  • Ask exploratory questions that will help us better understand our patients
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Patient Ambassadors and Operations) to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions and updates in our CRM
  • Proactively follow up with patients to ensure their questions are answered and they feel supported
  • Manage a high volume of calls and emails while maintaining warmth and professionalism

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in inside sales or similar
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable spending extended periods on the phone and computer
  • Ability to be empathetic, patient, and solution-focused under pressure
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to multitask
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with CRM or patient management systems
  • Availability to work flexible part-time hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in healthcare, customer service, patient advocacy, or a related field
  • Insurance experience is helpful
